Content Management System Support
There is no substitute for experience. I work with Content Management Systems every day. It is normal for nearly every theme and plugin to need some level of customization to achieve the goals of the site. Sooner or later you will want to out-source with someone with a solid working knowledge of the technical aspects of CMS to customize your installation, theme and plugins. WordPress, Drupal, Joomla, php, mySQL, css, ftp, html, jQuery, Javascript, Ajax, Flash, video, PhotoShop, Illustrator, SEO, and web hosting / web serving. That’s who I am and what I do! Open Source CMS is Free But Your Time Certainly Isn’t
There are currently 1300+ themes and 13,000+ plugins available on the WordPress site alone. Thousands and thousands of additional options are available to create a perfect website for you.
It is possible to sort through the thousands of options and come up with a great website if you have lots of time to dedicate to the task. A much more cost effective path is to out-source with an experienced WordPress developer to get everything going and jump-start the whole process. That’s me!
If you are interested in developing a new website from the ground up I can help you get your site started TODAY. Let’s talk about it!
I can take your existing website and convert it to a matching CMS website without your visitors ever noticing. Or, if your site is ready for a makeover I can design you a brand new look and transfer all of your static content and existing blog posts to a CMS format.
Looking for self serve? If you only want to have us convert your existing design to a WordPress format and you do all the content transfer of your static pages I can do that too.
If you have a large site that you wish to migrate to CMS I can adapt your data for mass importation saving you a bundle on data entry costs. I have successfully converted several large well-ranked sites without a loss of data or search engine ranking. It is possible to maintain and improve your search engine rankings throughout a site migration.
A recent study found that out of the ten sites on the first page of a Google search for “free WordPress themes”, eight included nefarious encoding in their themes. The average WordPress user no doubt knows that Google isn’t the best place to find themes but the stats on these sites show that there are thousands of people downloading them and using them on their websites. Unfortunately they’re more than likely to end up with spammy links or worse on their site. Someone who can address these issues is needed in the development process of your website to help you avoid unfortunate circumstances such as themes and plugins with hidden coding. That’s what I do!
